Pasos para iniciar un cultivo sin suelo (hidropónico):
- Elegir el tipo de sistema hidropónico:
- Sistema de raíz flotante: Las plantas flotan sobre una solución nutritiva.
- NFT (Nutrient Film Technique): Se hace circular una fina película de solución nutritiva por donde las raíces pueden absorber los nutrientes.
- Sistema de mecha: Las plantas absorben la solución por medio de una mecha.
- Aéreo-hidroponía: Las raíces están suspendidas en el aire y se rocían con nutrientes.
Cada sistema tiene sus ventajas y desafíos, así que elige según tus necesidades y espacio disponible. - Materiales básicos:
- Un recipiente para la solución nutritiva.
- Sustratos como fibra de coco, perlita, lana de roca o grava, si decides usar un soporte.
- Solución nutritiva: Una mezcla de agua y fertilizantes solubles diseñados para hidroponía.
- Bombas y tuberías para garantizar la circulación de la solución nutritiva (según el sistema).
- Espacio adecuado:
- Asegúrate de contar con un lugar con buena iluminación (natural o artificial).
- Controla la temperatura y humedad del entorno para que sea óptimo para las plantas.
- Seleccionar plantas:
- Las más comunes son lechugas, tomates, espinacas, fresas y hierbas aromáticas. Elige variedades que se adapten a tu clima y que tengan demanda.
- Montaje:
- Instala el sistema según el tipo elegido.
- Llena el recipiente con la solución nutritiva y verifica que tenga el nivel correcto.
- Coloca las plantas en los recipientes o en el sustrato.
- Mantenimiento:
- Monitorea el pH y los niveles de nutrientes de la solución regularmente (pH ideal: 5.5 a 6.5).
- Limpia el sistema para evitar acumulaciones de sales o algas.
- Asegúrate de que las bombas funcionen correctamente para la circulación.
